While outside checking out the damage from the latest frost I found this Monarch Butterfly cocoon. I read that they stay in their cocoon for around 2 weeks, I’ll have to keep my eye out for the rest of the week and see if anything happens. My guess is he’ll emerge while I’m in Denver …

Sherry and I went out to Blue Springs State Park this morning to check out the Manatees, one of the few fun things to do when it’s cold. There had to be over 300 of them playing in the springs and with lows near freezing again tonight I’m sure things will be even more crowded …
